World of Wheels 2018

The World of Wheels is always a fun show to attend but ensure you put your walking shoes on and be ready for great looking cars, trucks, and bikes.  There were many fully custom vehicles with ‘paint jobs’ that were unreal.  To me, the World of Wheels 2018 in Pittsburgh is a great way to tickle the car cruise enthusiast and take away the winter blues for those who enjoy great looking cars, trucks, and bikes.

There were many that caught my attention (complete gallery of images here) including the coffin car to the cars from Fast And Furious but one that stuck with me is what I titled “Laughter”.  This image was taken with the Olympus E-M1MarkII and Lensbaby Sweet Optic 35. creating the fun out of focus look.

Another image that immediately caught my attention was the very ‘high’ truck. I don’t think it would make it into most parking garages. 😀

There were many vendors ranging from fudge to car parts to shirts and hats.

Pictures for sale

Hand Drawings

Candy and more

There were so many beautiful bikes with some of the most amazing paint designs that I could spend hours looking at them.

I highly recommend visiting the World of Wheels 2018 at the Convention Center in Pittsburgh. Plan to spend hours, stay hydrated, and wear comfortable shoes. Stop by and visit the Victory Family Church – Car Cruise Booth

Victory Family Church | Impartation | June 22, 2014

One of my favorite books by John Bevere and one that I recommend to everyone is “Bait of Satan”.

“The man or woman who doesn’t forgive has forgotten the price that Christ paid for them on the Cross.”
— John Bevere

Escape the enemy’s deadly trap! The Bait of Satan exposes one of the most deceptive snares Satan uses to get believers out of the will of God-offense.

John Bevere (Breaking Intimidation: Say “No” Without Feeling Guilty. Be Secure Without the Approval of Man)

“True honor is an outflow from a heart that fears God.”
— John Bevere (Honor’s Reward: The Essential Virtue for Receiving God’s Blessings)

“True humility is absolute obedience and dependence on God. It puts Him first, others second, and ourselves third in all things.”
— John Bevere (Relentless: The Power You Need to Never Give Up)

Tony and Lauren Dungy Book Signing at Victory Family Church

I have not finished reading their newest book but Tony Dungy’s devotional is excellent and I highly recommend the book. Both sports enthusiast and non will gain valuable lessons from The One Year Uncommon Life Daily Challenge.

From the publisher

What does it take to build a marriage that will last? Tony and Lauren Dungy have together known the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. They fell in love, built a family, and made sports history when Tony became the first African American head coach to win the Super Bowl. Yet they’ve also gone through difficult, relationship-testing setbacks, including job loss and devastating personal tragedy. In a culture where it seems harder and harder to make marriage last, what has kept the Dungys strong through it all? In Uncommon Marriage, Tony and Lauren share the secrets that hold them together, revealing what they’ve learned so far about being a good husband or wife; getting through times of loss, grief, or change; staying connected despite busy schedules; supporting each other’s dreams and goals; and helping each other grow spiritually. They offer encouragement and practical advice to equip your marriage to survive tough issues and flourish with joy, purpose, and partnership—in other words, to be a marriage that is truly uncommon.

Tony and Lauren Dungy are married over 30 years with nine children and both have many accolades but the ones that stuck with me is their love for Christ, their parents, each other, and family. May God continue to bless them abundantly in ways only He can do.

Colossians 3:23-24 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Another amazing Easter weekend at Victory Family Church.  During the annual Eggstraviganza over 7 thousand (yes 7k) people visited the event and kids enjoyed free rides, face painting, pictures with a princess and/or their favorite hero and more.

Click through the small gallery to view a few images from the Easter service.  A painting illustrating passing from death unto life is created.

From Death to Life

From Death to Life

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

I have the distinct honor of photographing as a volunteer at Victory Family Church in Cranberry Twp which is within thirty minutes of Pittsburgh, PA.  Every year the Victory Family Church hosts a large community event for the children entitled “Eggstraviganza” and thousands of people attend for two days of fun, food, and most important a puppet show telling the good news of Christ.  Vendors sell food while children enjoy many activities including seeing different princesses, riding fun rides, meeting with the local Cranberry fire department, and many other activities. The event is provided as a gift to the community and I enjoy participating and documenting it every year.

Following the Eggstraviganza event on Saturday night and Sunday morning is a time of worship and tremendous singing.  This year’s event was amazing as always with a moving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Photographing these types of events are always fun, enjoyable, and creative.  I love to experiment to create a unique look and feel for the images in an attempt to properly portray the mood and feel of the lights and song. Select the link for a slide show of images of the Choir during Easter services at Victory Family Church.

In a few months the new fully expanded sanctuary will be complete and we will have the distinct honor of photographing the first wedding in the new sanctuary.  In the meantime, take your time and view the slide show of the Easter Choir. Below are a few images from the Easter Worship Service for your enjoyment.

Thank you for viewing the images and I hope they are as much a blessing to you as they were to me photographing them.
